In partnership with law enforcement agencies (LETR), each year the Polar Plunge challenges thousands of brave people from around the state to jump into the icy water & raise money for a great cause. It’s a fun way for individuals, organizations, schools and businesses to come together and support the athletes of Special Olympics Oregon. All funds raised go to supporting the programing and events of more than 12,000 athletes statewide.
ABOUT SPECIAL OLYMPICS OREGON
“The mission of Special Olympics Oregon is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.”
Bjorn King, Super Plunger
The reason I Super Plunge is because of the cause. I Plunge 24 times in 24 hours for all the athletes in Special Olympics Oregon. I do it because it’s one of the most important things in my life and without Special Olympics Oregon, life would not be the same.
